• Abstract:
  The Going-to-the-Sun Road (GTSR) Corridor has been undergoing major shifts in use due to ongoing construction, implementation of a shuttle system, and changes in visitor use patterns. Glacier National Park (GLAC) is developing the GTSR Transportation and Visitor Use Corridor Management Plan to deal with these changes and their impacts on the park’s resources. ; This report compiles available data and reviews the existing conditions of the road to document and quantify identified issues and provide a baseline for thinking about alternative management strategies as part of the corridor management plan. Initial recommendations and gaps identified in the data are documented in Appendices A and B respectively.
