Abstract:The Intermodal Surface Transportation Efficiency Act (ISTEA) of 1991 calls for a study of U.S. international border crossings. The objective of the study is to identify existing and emerging trade corridors and transportation subsystems that facilitate trade between the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The report contains appendices to the inventory of infrastructure in place and planned at East Coast, Gulf, and Great Lakes ports.
