Abstract:

This SAMIS 1992 annual report, now in its third year of publication, is a compilation and analysis of mass transit accident and casualty statistics reported by 600 transit systems in the United States under the FTA Section 15 reporting system. This report presents trend analyses summarizing the three years of SAMIS and a series of graphs and tables summarizing the safety performance of the transit industry in 1992.
