The Calspan Tire Research Facility is described, including the test procedure, a tire test schedule, and a tire identification schedule for testing low-rolling resistance radial passenger car tires. The equilibrium rolling resistance was measured on each of the following 12 tires: four Goodyear elliptical P215/65 R390, four Uniroyal P185/80 R13, and four Firestone P195/75 R14. Tires were maintained in free-rolling, straight-ahead conditions, and tire inflation pressures were regulated during the tests. The results of force and moment measurements are reported in graphs and tables.
