Abstract:This report presents the findings of an evaluation of the relationship between the San Francisco Vessel Traffic Service (SFVTS) and the maritime community which it serves. The resulting conclusions and recommendations offered are based upon on-site interviews and discussions with key members of the maritime community of the San Francisco Bay area, immediate users of the SFVTS and the management of other interested organizations.
