Abstract:

Portland transformed the transportation status quo through its implementation of a SMART Delivery Zone (SDZ) Pilot. Portland was the first U.S. city to pilot regulated SDZs that offered preferred curb access to encourage commercial fleets to embrace technology-enabled, innovative goods delivery models.
