This aviation booklet was prepared by the Federal Aviation Agency, Flight Standards Service, Maintenance Division, to acquaint the prospective pilot and airplane owner with some fundamentals of owning and operating an airplane. The contents are based on requirements in effect at the date of publication. Since the aviation picture is constantly changing, we suggest you contact your nearest FAA District Office where personnel are aware of changes and will be glad to acquaint you with current regulations.
