In an effort to maximize workflow, the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) has recognized the need for an efficient file management software system. Selecting an effective software package should make uploading, accessing, and sharing project files as convenient as possible. The selected package should also minimize the potential for errors, such as accessing out-of-date files or overwriting another designer’s work. This report focuses on selecting a file management system that will best fit the needs of the New Mexico Department of Transportation. This task is accomplished by researching several file sharing software packages. Concurrently, the requirements of the NMDOT and its employees are assessed using interviews and surveys. The best fit software package is then selected accordingly.
