The Passive Pedestrian Detection Analysis project reviewed a variety of commercially available passive detection systems. After vendor selection, the project went through ground-truth testing, pushbutton compliance testing, and vendor result summarization. The objective of the project was to test and verify the accuracy of the selected passive detection systems, provide the Minnesota Department of Transportation with a robust procedure for future testing, and provide an evaluation matrix comparing each tested vendor system.
