• Abstract:
  This project called for the study, testing, and improving of the Air Traffic Control Radar Beacon System. Phase I of the project, preliminary work on the evaluation of the system, has been reported in published letter reports and in handbooks issued for special test equipment developed during the program. Specifications for the preliminary phase were established by the CAA Technical Development Center; AIL's services in this preliminary phase were supplied under Contract Cl3 ca-597 and its continuation, Cl3 ca-608, which were in effect from January 1957 through September 1958.
