Activity analyses of controllers at the High Altitude Sector of the New York Air Route Traffic Control Center were performed m order to develop realistic operator requirements for Project SATIN. The results identify the types of activities and the amount of time spent m each, for the four types of positions (assistant, D, radio, and civil jet radar flight advisory, controllers). An information flow analysis and description of the processing of aircraft through the High Altitude Sector are also presented.
