Abstract:The closure of a portion of I-95 in Philadelphia following the bridge collapse on June 11 focused attention on the importance of the I-95 corridor for freight movement. In 2021, trucks carried 21 million tons of freight worth $104 billion between major goods producing and consuming areas to the north and south of the Philadelphia region.
