Abstract:

Speakers Roberto A. Sarmiento and Jennifer Boteler collaborated on a project to develop a template for collection development policies. Their goal was to develop a flexible and scalable collection development policy template that could become a first step towards the development of a much-needed national cooperative collection development policy. This Transportation Librarians Roundtable covers an overview of the project, the methodology for developing the template, a brief look at the template, and testimonials from volunteers who used the template.
