Social media can be defined as web- and mobile-based technologies that harness “many to many” communications for such purposes as user-based content, interactive dialogue, community building, and information collection and dissemination. AASHTO’s Manager of Information Services, Bob Cullen, explains social media platforms, social media uses, and challenges of social media.
