Abstract:The amount of data being generated is increasing rapidly. Visualization is a method of simplifying complex datasets to better communicate the information to the public. Post-doctoral associate at Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment Dr. Christa Kelleher uses visualization as a primary way of communicating in presentations, reports, and scientific publications. Kelleher demonstrates resources and rules for creating effective visualizations in this session of the Transportation Librarians Roundtable.
