Abstract:

Emiko Atherton, Director of the National Complete Streets Coalition, and Jana Lynott, Senior Strategic Policy Advisor with AARP, present this month’s Transportation Librarians Roundtable. Atherton represents a coalition that’s focused on creating and building safe streets for people of all abilities and for all users. This approach to transportation planning considers multiple modes of transportation and changing design to change behavior. Lynott manages AARP’s transportation research agenda and shares data points and resources that AARP offers. Lynott emphasizes the importance of having a safe travel environment in helping people stay engaged in their community.
