Boyd, Special Representative of the President for the Civil Air Services Negotiations with the United Kingdom, before the Subcommittee on Aviation of the House Committee on Public Works and Transportation, Concerning the New U.S.-U.K. Civil Air Services Agreement (Bermuda 2), September 29, 1977. This statement is addressed to the development and content of the Agreement between the Government of the United States of America and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland concerning Air Services, signed in Bermuda, July 23, 1977. This agreement is now commonly known as Bermuda 2. The 1946 Bermuda Agreement was terminated on June 22, 1976, through a Diplomatic Note from Her Majesty's Ambassador in Washington to the Secretary of State, marking the beginning of a 12-month period for negotiation of a new civil air services agreement.
