Abstract:This advisory circular describes new arrival procedures for ATC handling of high performance aircraft. It is designed to familiarize pilots with profile descents and revised arrival and departure procedures so that total effectiveness of the program may be realized. This effort will improve our present "keep-em-high" as well as other programs designed to improve safety, reduce noise, and conserve fuel by minimizing flying time below 10,000 feet.
