Abstract:The FAA will convene a symposium on area navigation at The Washington Hilton in Washington, D. C, on 24-25 January 1972. Area Navigation, often referred to as "RNAV," is the flexible system which permits aircraft operations along any desired course. It can also provide vertical path guidance during climb, cruise, and descent.
