Abstract:The purpose of this Advisory Circular is to advise those persons proposing to construct, alter, activate or deactivate a civil or joint-use (civil/military) airport, for which Federal aid has not been requested, of the requirement to submit a notice of such intention to the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This Advisory Circular also points out the principal reasons for this requirement and some of the airspace utilization factors that the proponent should consider early in his planning effort.
