Abstract:This advisory circular provides guidance material for acceptable means, but not the only means, of demonstrating compliance with the provisions of Part 25 of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) dealing with the design requirements for transport category aircraft to preclude flutter and other aeroelastic phenomena. The precise detailing of analytical procedures and testing techniques Is beyond the scope of this advisory circular. Some general considerations are set forth herein, with supportive discussion, to be considered in demonstrating compliance with ยง 25.629 and related regulations.
