This advisory circular (AC) provides a means, but not the only means, to control products and parts shipped prior to the issuance of a type certificate (TC) or supplemental type certificate (STC) by a manufacturer with an approved production inspection system (APIS) or production certificate (PC). For the purposes of this AC, the acronym “TC” includes “STC.”
