This advisory circular establishes an acceptable means, but not the only means, of obtaining airworthiness approval of airborne Loran-C navigation systems for use under visual flight rules (VFR), and instrument flight rules (IFR) as an area navigation (RNAV) system within the conterminous United States, Alaska, and surrounding U.S. waters.
