This advisory circular lists, in Appendix 1, the Designated Engineering Representatives who are available for consulting work. Designated Engineering Representatives, as direct representatives of the Federal Aviation Administration, are privileged to approve engineering or flight test information that complies with the Federal Aviation Regulations within particular categories and subject to prescribed limitations.
