Abstract:

This advisory circular is a directory of Designated Engineering Representatives (DER's) who are available for consulting work. The DER's, as direct representatives of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), are authorized to approve engineering or flight test information that complies with Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations (14 CFR) within particular categories and are subject to prescribed limitations as delineated in FAA Order 8110.37A, DER Guidance Handbook. 14 CFR part 183 prescribes the requirements for the issuance of designations to private persons to act in the capacity of FAA representatives in the examining, inspecting, and testing necessary for the issuance of aircraft certificates by the Administrator.
