Abstract:This advisory circular announces the availability of the subject manual. This manual contains valuable information for use by both aircraft and structural fire fighting organizations when faced with post aircraft accident fire associated with either civil or military type aircraft. It was developed by an IFSTA Continuing Committee and is intended as a training aid for airport and municipal fire fighting personnel who participate in actual fire fighting and rescue operations both on and off the airport. In addition, it provides guidance to supervisors in establishing a training program.
