Abstract:The idea for this study was envisioned prior to the coronavirus pandemic. Consequently, the ultimate data collection period, summer of 2021, was modified from the originally proposed summer of 2020. The on-going impacts of the pandemic could have potentially impacted people’s willingness to respond to the surveys administered as a part of the study (likely a decrease) as well as the number of people walking and biking (potentially an increase). As the impacts of the pandemic on the prevalence of walking and biking is an area of on-going study, it is hard to understand the specific impacts. Yet, potential unknown impacts should be acknowledged.
