• Abstract:
  The purpose of this research project is to assess the characteristics of motorcycle safety in Wyoming, with the focus on fatal and severe injury crashes, and provide a set of recommendations with a potential to reduce the frequency and severity of motorcycle-related crashes. The study reviews the current literature and practices in motorcycle safety, collects crash data for Wyoming, analyzes the data and develops statistical and machine learning models, provides recommendations for improvement in infrastructure, traffic control and signage, and performs a survey of motorcycle experts.
