Abstract:

Hiring veterans makes good business sense. Federal Departments and agencies have been working diligently for several years to support Veterans transitioning from active duty service to civilian employment, and ensure that applicable mariner-related experience and training are appropriately credited towards a merchant mariner credential (MMC).
