State highway crash rate tables present crash frequencies in relation to traffic volume and highway mileage. The four major sections of this publication are: I Results of Analysis; II State Highway Crash Rates; III Fatal Traffic Crash Summaries; and, IV Appendix. Comparison of crash rates between highways should take into account the functional classification and vehicle miles traveled (VMT) for all highways under consideration. Failure to evaluate the data in this manner could lead to incorrect conclusions.
