• Abstract:
  The National Transportation Library (NTL) scanning project is dedicated to digitizing the US Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) Office of the Secretary (OST) Collection. The OST Collection is a series of documents published by DOT OST from 1969 to 1997. This collection includes newsletters, press releases, broadcast scripts, and technical abstract reports. During the nearly thirty-years it was printed, OST documents were important for distributing important news and information to members of US DOT. Therefore, these unpublished documents hold rare and valuable information relating to the daily activities of the Secretary of Transportation and other USDOT-related activities. An inventory of the OST Collection was created and the documents are expected to be digitized and made accessible for the public in 2020.
