• Abstract:
  This is a compilation of material that was presented at the Third UMTA R&D Priorities Conference Workshops on Bus and Paratransit Technology. Part I deals with paratransit integration and includes discussions of operational technologies (as distinct from vehicle and propulsion system development) , experiences of the City of Cincinnati with their Urban Transportation Laboratory program, the Logan Airport (Boston) share-a-cab program, and the Rochester dial-a-ride program. Part II, bus technology, paratransit vehicle development, and flywheel energy storage system, contains discussions of the vehicles themselves and the flywheel energy storage program. This volume contains six resource papers which can be found summarized in Volume I of this report along with summaries of other workshops sessions. Volume I also includes the proceedings of the general sessions and a listing of conference participants.
