Abstract:This dataset contains the following data that was collected to study the relationship between commuter’s mobility and safety as they drive through highway work-zones; as well as the construction worker’s perception of safety: 1. SurveyForWorkers.docx: This file contains the survey that was used to collect worker perceptions of safety in work-zones. 2. SurveyForCommuters.docx: This file contains the survey that was used to collect commuter’s perception of mobility and safety in work-zones. 3. SurveyResultsWorkerCommuter.csv: This file contains the responses obtained from the above two surveys. 4. TCDInventory.xlsx: This file contains an inventory of traffic control and safety devices that were used in 30 highway work-zones for which mobility data was collected. 5. MobilityDataCollected (Folder): This folder contains data collected for mobility analysis: a. WorkzonesCoordinatesAndInstructions.docx: This file contains instructions on how the mobility data can be interpreted. b. DuringConstructionScreenShots (Folder): This folder contains subfolders, each of which contains screenshots of live google maps data for each of the work-zones when they were active. c. AfterConstructionScreenShots (Folder): This folder contains subfolders, each of which contains screenshots of live google maps data for each of the road sections where the work-zones were previously located.
