• Abstract:
  This report summarizes the financial and operating data submitted to the Urban Mass Transportation Administration (UMTA) by the nation's public transit operators, pursuant to Section 15 of the Urban Mass Transportation (UMT) Act of 1964, as amended. This report consists of three chapters. Chapter 1 contains an introduction to the Section 15 reporting system and Its relationship to the Section 9 program. Chapter 2 contains aggregate Industry statistics derived from the complete Section 15 reports which were submitted. Chapter 3 contains financial and operating data on the Individual transit systems that submitted complete Section 15 reports. All data in this report are for transit years ending on or between January 1 and December 31, 1988.
