Abstract:
The mileage and vehicle miles of travel data in the following tables are based on roads/streets located within the District's geographical boundaries (Administrative District). Vehicle miles of travel (VMT) are calculated by multiplying the mileage times the annual average daily traffic (AADT). VMT data are expressed as either daily vehicle miles of travel (DVMT) or as annual vehicle miles of travel (AVMT). In this report, the State System consists of state maintained highways including highways marked as Interstate, United States or Illinois routes.
