Personal travel and how it changes is of continuing concern to transportation planners and policy makers. This project, Global Positioning Systems for Personal Travel Surveys, would combine self-reported information with GPS recorded information and will provide recommendations about the potential usefulness of this technology for measuring changes in personal travel behavior. This technology has the potential for both improving the quality of data on travel behavior and reducing respondent burden for reporting this behavior. This document contains four appendices for the study: Appendix A.: Early Tests and Equipment Evaluation (NATDAC Paper); Appendix B.: Respondent Questionnaires; Appendix C.: Field Equipment Installation & Operating Instructions; and, Appendix D.: Field Test Materials.
