Abstract:In order to satisfy the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and other regulatory requirements, the Preliminary Development Process (PDP) was established by the Ohio Department of Transportation. The Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) process meshes with the PDP. The ESA is used to identify and locate properties with known or suspected environmental contamination which could control or influence project corridor locations. The ESA section of the Office of Environmental Services prepare ESA guidance documents and manuals. Links to the ESA guidelines and appendices are provided on this page, as well as points of contact for further information.
