The International Energy Outlook 1999 (IE099) presents an assessment by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) of the outlook for international energy markets through 2020. The report is an extension of EIA's Annual Energy Outlook 1999 (AE099), which was prepared using the National Energy Modeling System (NEMS). U.S. projections appearing in IE099 axe consistent with those published in AE099. IE099 is provided as a statistical service to energy managers and analysts, both in government and in the private sector. The projections are used by international agencies, Federal and State governments, trade associations, and other planners and decision makers. They are published pursuant to the Department of Energy Organization Act of 1977 (Public Law 95-91), Section 205(c). The IE099 projections are based on U.S. and foreign government policies in effect on October 1,1998.
