This document is the transcription of an oral history interview by Professor Emory Johnson of the South Dakota State University of Kenneth R. Surry, bridge engineer with the state of South Dakota from 1920-1963. Discussion centers around the building of highway bridges across the Missouri River, with special focus of the lawsuit of the state against Peter Kiewit for shoddy construction of pilings during the building of the Platte-Winner Bridge. Document does not carry a date; it seems to have been taken circa 1980.
