Voters in three regions of Georgia approved the Transportation Investment Act in 2012, adding 1% to local sales taxes to fund voter-approved and discretionary projects. This report analyzes the economic impact of expenditures arising from the TIA from 2012-2014. A framework for measuring the benefits of TIA for current and future projects is developed. Discretionary funds allocated to local areas are identified as one of the most highly valued outcomes of the program.
