Abstract:The Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) produces an open-graded asphalt pavement (F-mix) unlike most open-graded pavements used in the United States. Its 25 mm maximum aggregate size and typical lift thickness of 50 mm is more like the porous asphalt pavements used in Europe. This type of pavement has been in use in Europe since the early 1980’s and widely used in Oregon only since the late 1980’s. Supervisor survey questionnaire.
