Presented at the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Annual Meeting 2019, Poster Session 1552: Making Transportation Research Smart, Sustainable, and Equitable Through Libraries, Information, and Data. This poster will detail the development and implementation stages of a coordinated outreach plan at the National Transportation Library (NTL). By documenting goals and identifying metrics for measurable success, the NTL aims to be better positioned to strategically direct, implement, and evaluate outreach efforts. For FY2019, outreach objectives include: identifying the core usership of NTL and BTS products; engaging meaningfully with stakeholders; and fulfilling our public access mandate by increasing accessibility and use of federally funded research. This poster will focus on the following elements of the NTL’s outreach plan, and how they align with the objectives outlined above: NTL website development; Liaisonship; Internal & external marketing; Social media; Transportation Librarians Roundtable; Events attendance and participation; and, Dashboards.
