Abstract:Motor vehicle crashes are the primary cause of death and injury in the United States, costing employers more than $50 billion annually in medical care, legal expenses, property damage, and lost productivity. They drive up the cost of health benefits such as Worker’s Compensation, Social Security, and private health and disability insurance.
