Abstract:This report documents the System Design Document (SDD) for the prototype development and demonstration of the
Response, Emergency Staging, Communications, Uniform Management, and Evacuation (R.E.S.C.U.M.E.) application
bundle, with a focus on the Incident Zone (INC-ZONE) and Response Staging (RESP-STG) applications. These two
applications together comprise a tightly integrated bundle that is a key research and development effort within the
Dynamic Mobility Applications (DMA) portion of the Connected Vehicle Program.
This SDD is a representation of a system/software design that is to be used for recording design information,
addressing various design concerns, and communicating that information to the R.E.S.C.U.M.E. stakeholders.
This document provides a representation of the R.E.S.C.U.M.E. software system created to facilitate analysis,
planning, implementation, and decision making. It is a blueprint or model of the R.E.S.C.U.M.E. software,
communications, and to some extent, the hardware systems. The SDD is used as the primary medium for
communicating design information.
