The focus of this project was to estimate the potential impact of a new motor vehicle government mandate for vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) technology on the demand for aftermarket devices, applications, and infrastructure that leverages the same dedicated short range communications (DSRC) technology upon which V2V is based. The report leverages findings from interviews with numerous industry stakeholders, as well as research of analogous automotive and personal electronic devices, to forecast the potential growth of DSRC devices and services that may result from a government mandate of V2V technology.
