This document is the final report for the evaluation of the USDOT-sponsored Surface Transportation Security and Reliability Information System Model Deployment, or iFlorida Model Deployment. This report discusses findings in the following areas: ITS deployment and operations; Maintaining a Network of Field Devices; Using Toll Tag Readers for Traffic Monitoring; Interfacing TMC and FHP CAD Systems; Using Dynamic Message Signs for Traveler Information; Implementing Variable Speed Limits; Statewide Operations; Evacuation Operations; Traveler Information Operations; Weather Data; and Transportation Security. It discusses costs and benefits associated with iFlorida activities in each of these areas and lessons learned in pursuing those activities.
