Abstract:This document describes the Security Management Operating Concept (SMOC) for the New York City Department of Transportation (NYCDOT) Connected Vehicle Pilot Deployment (CVPD) Project. This SMOC outlines the security mechanisms that will be used to protect information flows within NYC CVPD, additional practices to protect privacy and security of data at rest, and management processes and procedures to ensure that security operations are carried out in a reliable and trustworthy way. This SMOC is one of the documents due for The Connected Vehicle Pilot Deployment Program, Phase 1 project funded by the United States Department of Transportation (USDOT).
