Abstract:Traversable Highways are routes that have been approved by the Legislation as future State
Highway Routes. These routes when constructed to the Department of Transportation (Caltrans)
standards, the California Transportation Commission (CTC) shall adopt them as state highways
and Caltrans must maintain them with funds from State Highway account. These routes are
described below.
