Abstract:For a number of years there has been administrative need for a connected system of roads in Sequoia National Forest along the ridge which separates Kern River and San Joaquin Valley water-sheds. Some development roads, or rather truck trails, have already been constructed and others are authorized or proposed. In advance of further construction the Regional Forester has requested a study of the road situation and a reconnaissance of logical north-south through road in this area.
