This report is the 2001 update to the New Hampshire Statewide Rail Plan, which was last updated in 1991 and amended in 1993. The Rail Plan presents an overview of the current status of the New Hampshire Rail System, who operates it and how it is utilized. The Rail Plan report describes the New Hampshire Rail Planning Process, applicable federal regulations and how the plan fits in with the New Hampshire Long Range Statewide Transportation Plan. Additionally, a process is provided in which potential rail related investment projects can be analyzed to determine if they provide net benefits to the state.
